- - -Terrible customer service and a misquoted Moto bed part price.
- - -I was given runaround to meet quoted price; second price was nearly 3x the original.
that depends on my needs and the availability of solutions. But they would be low on my list of choices.
Terrible customer service. Misquote on a part for my Moto bed and given the runaround when I asked for them to meet the quoted price.
The second price was nearly 3 times the originally quoted price. I was .continually transferred rather than give me a supervisor or store manager as I requested.

- - Delivery delays; one chair damaged, two chairs delivered; sofa delivery timing changed.
- - Requesting full refund of $3,499.78 and removal of all items.
On August 13, 2025, I purchased two (2) fabric swivel accent chairs with wood trim and a leather/vinyl power reclining sofa. As part of this purchase, I added a three (3) year in-home service/protection plan and an E5 battery pack to power the sofa.
The total purchase price, including taxes and delivery minus discount(s) applied, is $3,499.78. On August 23, I received an email indicating that my order was scheduled for delivery on August 26. On August 25, a confirming email was received indicating that the delivery was scheduled for between 1:00-4:00 pm, but only the two chairs would now be delivered. On August 26, during the delivery, one of the two chairs was damaged—the wood trim.
Once the two chairs were placed in my living room, the delivery team contacted City Furniture customer care regarding the missing sofa and the damaged chair. Service was scheduled for September 13th. The customer care representative was not able to determine a delivery date for the sofa as inventory showed that it was in stock and then disappeared as she was trying to allocate it to my order. On September 2, I received an email indicating that I could schedule delivery of the sofa.
I contacted customer care, and they scheduled delivery for September 11 between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. On September 10, I received an update that the delivery times for the next day were now 2:30-6:00 pm. On September 13, I received another update that the delivery was now going to be around 7:00 pm (1 1/2 hours after the original promised time). I did have an important meeting scheduled at 7:00 pm but had no way of rescheduling the delivery for another date.
When the delivery was finally completed around 7:15, I rushed off to my meeting but did not verify that all was acceptable with the sofa. The first opportunity I had to verify that the sofa was in good condition, I found that the left headrest did not work. I submitted another service request on September 13th and was informed that the first available date for service was October 14th (one month after filing my request). On October 6, the right side of the sofa stopped working.
I filed another service request and received an auto-reply email acknowledging my request and promising that I would be contacted within 48 hours. On October 14, the technician arrived to repair the malfunctioning headrest on the left side. The technician quickly found that the wire connecting the headrest to the power source was not connected at the time of delivery. I then asked the technician if he could look at the right side of the sofa as it stopped working, and no one from City had responded to my request for service.
He agreed and determined that the motor that controlled the right side was broken. He called to inform customer care that the left side was now working and that the power was not connected at delivery. The customer care rep asked to talk to me so we could schedule a follow-up appointment. When the tech gave me his phone, I was asked for my phone number so she could call me on my phone so that the technician could leave.
I provided my phone number, and she verified that it was the same as that on my record.
As of today, October 16, I have not received a phone call, email, or text message about the broken motor and making an appointment to repair or replace it. I am requesting a complete refund (for a total of $3,499.78 including taxes, delivery, and service plan) and that the sofa, two chairs, and battery pack be removed from my home.
- Furniture i bought almost two months ago has not worked even one day
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Avoid at all costs
Refund
- - Refund due since 10/17/2025.
- - Messages to two salespeople and the store manager went unanswered.
- - A response came after I said I would contact my bank.
I have been due a refund since 10/17/2025. Messages and text were sent by myself and their customer service to two sales people and the store manager, to no avail.
Nobody ever returned the phone calls, text or emails. Today, after telling them I was going to contact my bank I finally got a response.
DELAYS & INCONVENIENCE
- - Delivery was rescheduled several times and arrived late.
- - Difficult to reach non-sales staff, and the delivery crew was polite and set up the furniture.
Purchased sofa and chair 9/01/25. Delivery was originally scheduled for 9/09 (on our 25th anniversary which meant that we had to alter our celebration plans).
Got a call on 9/08 informing us that there was a problem and had to reschedule. New date was 9/19 but changed again to 9/13 btwn 12-3pm. We moved our current furniture out as req'd BUT delivery didn't arrive until 4:45pm. This meant that I wasted an entire day waiting.
This has left us with a very negative feeling about the company. In addition, we've found that it's extremely difficult to get in touch with staff (other than sales staff) if you need answers. I should have checked reviews before purchasing from them as there are a lot of negative comments.
Not a happy camper!!! Delivery guys were polite and did a good job setting up new furniture though.
User's recommendation: Schedule delivery for first thing in the morning.
I purchased a kingsize mattress in December and there is a large hole in the material !
- - There is a hole in the mattress top after about 10 nights of use.
- - The customer asks where to send a photo of the hole.
I dont know what happened! My son has slept on the mattress maybe ,at the most 10 nights and we noticed a bad hole in the material on top of mattress!
The mattress is in a guest room that my son stays in only once in a while-not continuously!
I cannot understand why the mattress top would have *** of this size with such infrequent use!
I have a picture of the hole - Id be happy to show you! Please tell me where to send the picture!
Thank you ,Donna Rizzo

- - Buffet table arrived damaged; repair offered as last one.
- - We were offered gift cards and a $375 discount.
- - I would not recommend City Furniture.
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with City Furniture. After remodeling our home, we made the significant decision to purchase all our furniture exclusively through your storebedroom sets, dining room set, couches, tables, stools, and more.
Unfortunately, this has turned out to be a regrettable decision.
The issue lies with the buffet table that completed our dining set. After a long wait, it finally arrived, only for us to discover it was damaged. Upon contacting City Furniture, we were told it was the last one available, and wed have to settle for someone coming out to fix it. For an expensive item, this is beyond disappointing.
Instead of a fair resolution, we were offered a laughable amount in gift cards.
Even the so-called final offer of a $375 discount feels like a slap in the face given the amount we have spent at your store.
I would have expected City Furniture to be more considerate of loyal customers who invest heavily in your brand.
This experience has been infuriating, and I would absolutely not recommend City Furniture to anyone. Other stores clearly value their customers more.

Verified Reviewer**Customer Beware! City Furniture Boca Raton Gave Me the Worst Experience*
- - Bed damaged; only the coffee table arrived.
- - Replacement delayed for weeks; bedroom set canceled.
- - Rude treatment; alleges Asian-American discrimination.
Customer Beware! City Furniture Boca Raton Gave Me the Worst Experience.
I went to City Furniture in Boca Raton on July 1st to purchase a bedroom set and a small coffee table. The delivery was scheduled for July 10th. However, when the truck arrived, the driver informed me that the bed was damaged, so he only dropped off the small table. They told me they wouldn't have the replacement furniture for the next month or two, forcing me to cancel the bedroom set as I needed it immediately.
City Furniture issued a partial refund, but I struggled to get a full refund for the undelivered furniture. After calling every week, I was repeatedly told that my sales representative wasn't available, the manager was never in the store, and that they would email them on my behalf yet nothing happened. Nobody ever called me back.
Finally, on July 29th, after contacting my credit card company to explain the issue, Jasmine Ayse Kadam, my sales representative, called me for the first time since July 1st. She was extremely rude, telling me to listen to the policy and insisting that if I canceled the order, I would still have to pay for delivery and assembly fees despite not receiving the furniture. She blamed me for not coming back to choose other furniture at the store, which was all much more expensive than my original order.
This entire experience feels like a scam. The sales representative was rude, and even the other staff members who answered my calls were dismissive, telling me to just 'deal with it.' I've never encountered such unprofessionalism and outright rudeness from any company before. I feel discriminated against because I am an Asian-American , and they treated me terribly.
I want everyone to know about this nightmare dealing with this unprofessional and dishonest company. It was the worst experience of my life.

- - We purchased a Tempur-Pedic from City Furniture; we disliked it.
- - The 90-day exchange requires upgrades.
- - Warranty claims show no record.
We bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress from City Furniture, located in Oakwood Plaza, Hollywood, Florida, in December of 2023. Immediately, we did not like the mattress, but they would not exchange it straight away. We had to wait for 90 days. After the waiting period, we found out that in order to exchange the mattress we had to upgrade and spend more money. We had already spent $8000; the mattress alone was over $6000, with the other components including the cover. City Furniture has been around for a long time, selling well-known brand products and mandating customers to purchase extended service plans for warranty coverage.
I have never been to another place that refused to honor the manufacturer’s warranty for the first year, before the extended warranty kicks in. It's similar to long-term health insurance; it does nothing for you for the first 90 days. City Furniture, however, refused to support us. This mattress is exceedingly uncomfortable. I submitted four Tempur-Pedic warranty claims online, but they claim to have no record of them.
Recently, I attempted to make a fifth claim online. The process has changed, making it almost impossible to upload pictures of the mattress. Besides, pictures of a white mattress fail to show the depth of the indentations, much like photographing a snow-covered mountain doesn't accurately convey its steepness. The photos of my white mattress don't illustrate its sagging.
City Furniture said they'd send a representative to examine it, but I think they said this only to get my husband out of the store. Instead, they arranged for someone to call me and instruct me to complete the warranty procedure online. While on the call, I tried to upload the pictures again, but I couldn't get them to upload. The second picture won't upload.
I'll be 58 this week, and I was planning to buy new furniture for my house for my birthday. I need a whole new dining set. Looking at my shopping history, it's clear that I've spent a significant amount of money at City Furniture. I even have their credit card and always pay it off promptly if not early. I'm what you'd call an excellent customer. I have no complaint history with any business, nor am I a chronic complainer.
However, I am willing to go out of my way and spend more money to avoid shopping at City Furniture again. I am helping my son refurnish his newly purchased home, but we won't be buying from City Furniture.
Even though I'm just one customer, customers talk. I'll do everything in my power to encourage everyone I know - my mother, my son, my stepson, my in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews - to avoid City Furniture.
It's unsettling that you sell a product with a manufacturer warranty yet refuse to honor it for the first year or even six months. The store makes money off goods that come with great warranties, but to make use of the warranty, customers have to spend more money on an additional warranty. That's unacceptable.
Frankly, I didn't want this mattress; my husband did. He thought spending extra money on a mattress would be worthwhile. We used to spend around $2600 on a mattress; this mattress is the worst we've ever had. Supposedly, mattresses should last eight years, and we aim for half of that time. But this mattress hasn't lasted six months yet, and you won't support us. It feels like a crime.
- Selection
- All they seem to care about is their commission
- City does not back the manufacturers for at least the first year
- Are very pushing
Preferred solution: A mother mattress not a tempurpedic. And not of greater value
User's recommendation: I do not recommend tepurpedic nor city furnitue

Verified ReviewerHorrible furniture, service, customer care… they omit details which would lead customers not to purchase ( refund, replacement, warranties, etc)… run away
- - Quality was poor; warranties were misleading.
- - Warranty excludes commercial furniture; not disclosed.
- - Returns: 21 days; mattress base not fully covered.
I had never shopped at City Furniture before, but I was led there by an interior decorator because I was decorating an office and didn't need top quality, which is what I usually shop for. The quality was poor, and there were misleading warranties, refunds, etc., coupled with horrible customer care.
Knowing that the furniture was going into an office, the salesperson Jennifer said nothing about the small print that even with the warranty, it didn't cover any commercial furniture. The situation is horrific. I have a couch falling apart and other significant purchases which can't be fixed. I was also talked into buying a mattress/electric base, only to find out that returns only cover the mattress, not the base.
The salesperson encouraged me to try the mattress longer, saying I had 30 days.
Nope, it was only 21 days, and the coverage was limited. This was the biggest scam around, so unprofessional, misleading, and overall, just a poor experience.

Verified Reviewer |Absolute Junk! Avoid at All Costs! I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am with the Monroe bedroom set I purchased from City Furniture. It is hands down the worst piece of furniture I have eve
- - Quality is very poor; the top bubbled after a spill.
- - Materials feel subpar and customer service offered a gift card instead of a replacement.
I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am with the Monroe bedroom set I purchased from City Furniture. It is hands down the worst piece of furniture I have ever had the misfortune of owning. Let me spare you the trouble and summarize my experience with this abomination of a nightstand.
First and foremost, the quality is shockingly awful. After a minor spill of water that was immediately cleaned up, the top of the nightstand began to resemble a scene from a horror movie as it expanded and bubbled out, utterly ruining the entire surface. I couldn't believe my eyes! I've seen furniture made of particle board that held up better to spills than this disgrace of a nightstand.
The material used is clearly subpar and not fit for purpose. It's as if they crafted this nightstand out of paper mache and coated it with tissue paper. I have never seen such a catastrophic failure in furniture construction.
And don't even get me started on the customer service. This is not my first issue with City Furniture - they delivered me a used couch before this incident. When I reached out to City Furniture to express my grievances, they gave me a small gift certificate when what I need is this replaced. It's abundantly clear that they have no regard for customer satisfaction or quality assurance.
In conclusion, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this set. Save yourself the headache, the disappointment, and the sheer frustration of dealing with such a shoddy product. I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone.
Consider yourself warned: this nightstand is an absolute disgrace and a stain on the reputation of furniture craftsmanship. Shame on City Furniture for peddling such garbage to unsuspecting customers.
0 out of 5 stars and that's being generous.

Verified Reviewer |Poor couch quality/ falling apart only 9 months old
- - Purchased November 2023; sectional has poor material and is uncomfortable.
- - Customer service slow; claims and replacements peel.
- - Over $4k paid.
I purchased a sectional in November 2023, not knowing that the furniture is made with poor material and, not to mention, is very uncomfortable. It's been a nightmare with customer service, filing claims, and having a person come see the issues I'm having with this furniture.
They keep sending me seat covers and cushion inserts to replace them, yet it keeps doing the same thing: peeling and flattening. It sinks in and separates between each sectional, where things fall in between the couches. They don't hold together. I'm very disappointed as I paid over 4k and am still paying for it.
The furniture looks very worn out and sunken in. I am disabled with a spinal hernia disc and cannot sit on them due to all the issues this couch has. I have called numerous times and explained all of this to different departments, including escalation, and it's going to be one year of this back and forth on 11/24, and still no resolution. I don't know whom else to contact.
I looked up your name in hope you can help me resolve this issue of changing the couch.
We work very hard for our money to have a couch in this condition. I really appreciate if there's something you can do for my family.

- - Bought a $1800 couch 5 months ago at City Furniture FL; warranty covers sagging and other issues for 3 years, but sagging was deemed normal wear.
We bought a couch 5 months ago for about $1800. We purchased the couch at City Furniture in Florida.
The sales associate sold us an extended warranty for any damage within the first 3 years. The warranty would basically cover any issues regarding ripping, tearing or sagging cushion problems, or any structural issues. He even said he has used the warranty and returned his couch more than once, noting he had a big dog that ruins the cushions, apparently just to sell the warranty. They sent a technician out, and they were not able to fix the sagging in the couch.
He called City Furniture's claims department and put his report in.
They said there was nothing they could do about the sagging, classifying it as normal wear and tear. We fought them to no avail and are basically getting nowhere.
